PORTRAIT TIPS
Whether you come to our studio or meet us on location for your portrait session, a few photographic tips on wardrobe will ensure a successful shoot, and help you look your best!

WOMEN:
Layers work well. Bring clothing that reflects the image you want to promote, either business, casual or fun. Bring a few different color tops, solids usually look better than prints or plaids (we want them to notice your face first, not your clothing! You don't want to look like a test pattern!) and pastels flatter most skin types. Wrinkles, stains and lint show. Don't forget props or accessories if you use them in your profession - they can communicate quickly what your field is. Overall, bring comfortable clothing and jewelry you know you look good in. Generally, you may want to apply your makeup a little bolder for your shoot and some light foundation and powder go a long way to reduce skin reflection. If you can see it in the mirror, it will show in the photograph! Professional make-up and hair styling is available for an additional fee.  Eyeglasses will reflect light, so you might bring some empty frames or have your lenses removed.  You’ll want to wear them if that’s how most people know and see you.  We can work around eyeglasses but there is usually an additional fee to remove glass flare.

MEN:
Bring clothing that reflects the image you want to promote, either business, sports, casual or fun. Bring a few different ties if it's a business portrait, smaller patterns usually look better than wild prints or plaids. For a more informal session, layers work well and allow for lots of choices. Bring jackets, sweaters, vests and props that depict your interests or profession. Don't forget to shave!

SITTING FEES :
Payment for the shoot & materials is due at the time of your photo session. Any additional fees generated from retouching, reprints, extra CDs, etc. will be billed on a separate invoice and is due upon pick up or delivery. Cash, check or money orders are all acceptable. If you wish, you can use your Visa, MasterCard or American Express Card to pay your invoice via PayPal. Your photos will be posted to my web site, usually in a day or so, and you will receive an email including the link to view the results of our shoot. Once you make your selection(s), they will be retouched to your specifications and burned to a CD or reprinted to enlargements.
